About This Project

This capstone project explores the evidence-based benefits of infant massage as a therapeutic intervention to support both infant development and caregiver mental health. Conducted in collaboration with clinical professionals in the NICU at Community North, this project synthesizes current research, professional expertise, and direct clinical observation to create meaningful educational resources for caregivers.

The project encompasses a comprehensive literature review, professional consultations, trauma-informed care training, and the development of instructional materials — including a handout and instructional video — designed to empower caregivers with safe, evidence-based infant massage techniques.
